Guarda and surroundings Guide

Guarda is a harmonious district, rich in cultural heritage and nature.

The city of the same name is the highest in the country (1056m above sea level) and also the one with the purest air in Portugal.

About 20 minutes from the city you can reach the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, the highest mountain range in the country and the highest point in Portugal (1993m).

A district that breathes nature and authenticity: it is in this region that our traditional Portuguese knives are made, which you can use to taste the cheese specialties of the region.
