Beleza Do Sal

Beleza Do Sal is a family business that started in 2013, in Aveiro. This small city located south of Porto, about 1 hour drive, is nicknamed "the Portuguese Venice" because it is crossed by canals. Aveiro and its surroundings are thus very connected to the sea and one of the main local economic activities is the salt harvest.

Gabriel and Carlos Castro, the founders of Beleza Do Sal, have imagined and designed all their products with the idea of using local and natural products. They use Portuguese raw materials: salt from Aveiro but also seaweed, olive oil and sweet almond oil. 

The approach of highlighting the local culture is obviously found in the brand name ("beauty of salt" in English) but also in the design of the packaging, which recalls the colorful stripes of the houses of the Costa Nova. 

The perfumes and textures of the soaps and other cosmetic products are carefully worked and they are very pleasant to use. At home, they have passed the test and are now part of our bathroom shelves.
