The Serra de São Mamede Natural Park is a vast mountainous area with lush Mediterranean vegetation. While walking around, you will find streams and waterfalls, ideal for a refreshing swim.

The town of Portalegre is also worth a visit: it is full of beautiful whitewashed houses and historical monuments, testifying to the past of the place. You will discover the great Cathedral, the Church of São Francisco Convent and of course, the medieval Castle, from where you can admire the green landscapes of the Alentejo.
