This handcrafted and family-owned cutlery founded in 1948 by Ernesto Pires offers high quality products. We met them in their workshop in Verdugal, near Guarda.
Located in Verdugal, a small village in central Portugal, this artisan cutlery has been making knives for over 70 years.
This small family business was founded in 1948 by Ernesto Pires. His father, Albino Pires, had already been making knives by hand since 1935 and he wanted to keep his know-how alive.
Over the years, the cutlery business prospered and expanded. Some tools were modernized for the comfort of the employees but always keeping a handcrafted method of production, a guarantee of quality.
In 1995, the three children of Ernesto Pires, José, Manuel and Antonio, took over the company. Today they continue the great family adventure and put all their knowledge and passion in the manufacture of knives.
In our store, we offer kitchen knives and folding knives made with love by this cutlery.
