Oficina César

Cesar's handicraft workshop, located in Ermesinde in the Porto region, has existed since 1943. Founded by César Duarte Ferreira, a craftsman, its specialty was the manufacture of musical instruments. 

In 1946, the workshop began to manufacture wooden toys and it was a great success: nearly thirty craftsmen were employed by the workshop to meet the demand.

Aurelio Santos Ferreira, César's son, then took over his father's work, before handing over the business to his son-in-law, Manuel Moreira Gonçalves. Since 2011, Manuel has been joined by his son César Gonçalves at the workshop and they work together.

This beautiful family business, now 78 years old, continues to offer handcrafted musical instruments and wooden toys.
